This is Katie Shillingford. She's a fashion editor at Dazed and Confused and her hair color is really amazing.. it uses past seasons ombre trend to create a new inspirational look for fall. Personally, I never throught having blue hair could be this cool...

Let The Wild Rumpus Start!!!

The best soundtrack to have come out this year. Karen O, lead singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, masters the sound that fits perfectly with this classic book turned movie. Featuring many of Indie Greats from Gris Gris, Deerhunter to Dead Weather/Raconteur members. The movie is everything it should be and the soundtrack fits it like a glove. joyous, playful, sad, and wild. The Soundtrack/Score features choruses from children. Which can makes it enjoyable for all. Its soft guitars, and hums have a sort of melancholy feel. While other tracks are just plain exuberant. A true classic.

Is it real now?

The Band consists of Luke Steele (Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (Pnau). The two met at a bar during a meeting with A&R's executive Simon Moor. The two instantly hit it off and began writing material.

Walking On A Dream was release in Australia on October 2008 and Debuted here in the U.S. Feb 2009. The band has already reached platinum in their hometown and soared to fourth place in the UKs BBC polls.

The album is the most cosmic electronic/glam/pop fused band to have come out, since Bowie. The bands sound is the largest in along time. And has a very MGMTesque sound to it. But by far has its own sound in its own right. The band hasnt hit our Billboard charts yet. But prepared to be apart of The Empire. Album is flawless.

FUCK YEAH!!!!

Formely Fuck Yeah Festival. FYF Fest returns! With a killer line up this year. The Black Lips (VIce Records) headline the show. No Age (Sub Pop), Mika Miko, along with many awesome indie bands. All partake in making a stand this year. To save our State Parks. As you all know. Gov. Arnold Schwarnes*fd&afkdjfz (I am pretty positive that how you spell it) has decided, due to our economical state, to close down what is most precious to California.

Held at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. Sept 15th. The Festival is put together by 23 year old Sean Carlson and started it all 5 years ago (When he was 18??!!) This is years goal is to provide a low cost event of great entertainment. While raising awareness to the 100 state parks forced to shut down.

So if you are in need for some real indie music. This is the spot. Everyone is encouraged to take public transportation. Be green!

Tickets are only $20!!
What a perfect way to end the summer.

DR. WHO??

An Oasis in Hollywood? Could it really be? Dr. Who is the spot. Just when you thought that all of Los Angeles was being consumed by pretentious, obnoxious, impossible to get in clubs. There is in fact, a getaway to all that. Right across from the Channel 5 Studios. Lies this little whole in the wall bar called......The Bar. Doesnt sound impressive nor does your expectations take you to imagine an over the top decor bar. But you walk in and just kind of takes you by surprise. Just what you need. Not over the top but not a dive bar. 'The Bar' is the absolute spot. Especially on the Thursdays that Dr. Who lands on (2nd and 4th). Dr. Who plays all your creepy, rare, exotic, vintage, amazing collection of sounds from around the world. Boss Harmony and Dina J are the resident Dj's. And can honestly tell you they set the mood. A lovely hang out spot. Where the cool kids, hipsters, and everyone alike, go to have a real experience. Check it out!

The Foot Fetish is Back!

phillip lim
Hey kids, fashion weeks are over and we can finally digest all the crazy cool things designers sent down the runway. We all know that statement bags have died a slow death but what about the statement shoe, because you really can’t deny a girl from a pair of killer heels. It seems this season designers agree, they have taken last seasons ysl trib. platforms and injected them with steroids.
